Compared to the others, I'd say it's my fifth favorite.. It's easily better than the Black Album (IMO), better than all those other shiit records they released in the 90's, and most definitely better than that feces-fest they released called St. Anger.. All in all, I'd say it's worth checking out.. There were definitely some better metal releases this year like Meshuggah and Opeth, but this isn't far behind on my list of decent metal albums for '08.. Ignore Pitchfork's review, they made some good points but keep in mind they rated the new Bloc Party album higher than Death Magnetic... 1
