try to keep your vocals the same through out the verse/song if you can. I know some tracks require different moods for the different parts of the song so that can be difficult.
If you need to get loud on a certain part of the song try turning your head away from the mic like 30 degrees.
Watch your "ch" "p" "t" "sh" sounds. Those tend to clip.
Due a test run of your verse and keep on eye on the track volume. Try to keep the average high at like around 75% to 80%
