ima tryna get a new car and im tired of my old one.....being that if i try 2 trade it in i would have negative equity so would it be crazy if i were to just stopp payment on it and let the repo snatch it up and in the meantime copp anootha loan 2 get my new joint?.....

the repo will show up on your credit report. so depending on your timing of the new loan...you might end up getting denied and end up empty handed with horrible credit.

roll the negative equity into the new car loan or take out a separate loan to pay off the negative equity. your dealer should be able to help you with either option if they really want your business.

in the meantime fight for money on your trade and more money off of the new car. dealers are hurting right now...you'll get what you want.

give me your make, model, year, and state you live in and ill tell you what dealers are dumping your car off for at auction. give you a better idea of where you can go with negotiations.

A repo is never a good look on your credit like arbosj said. You'll end up like that cat on that credit report commercial in a busted Geo.

sorry for the late responses guys and thanks 4 ya help but for some reason this thread did not show up on my subscribed list.................anyway my current car is a 2002 chrysler 300m special its in good/ fair condition and i live in Va.....im tryna get a 06 or 07 dodge charger....thx again 4 the help guys

the charger i was interested in is the one with the most basic package preferable used...selling for about 19k or less and in black

if i were to add the negative equity onto the payment plan how would they go about that...like i heard that u have 2 pay 20$ for every thousand..is that true?
