volume 1 I think he was spitting harder but volume 2 was more socially relevant and I think the beats were better so I agree v.2 by a small hair. v.1 for example jean gray even rips a track the illest is dope and no mercy are fire my favorite tracks off v.1 for sure. v.2 first time I heard it I was so high I was just blown away been hooked ever since.
