On December 4th, 2007 3sixty5 Records released one of the best Hip Hop albums from The Bay Area; Mikey Mo The MC’s “Focused”. With hot singles like “Mikey Mo’s Theme” and “Never Lose Focus”, Mikey Mo’s debut album received critical acclaim from Okayplayer.com, HipHopGame.com, Stash Magazine as well as many DJ’s and fans.
Drawn from the struggles and sacrifices in his life, this album is full of personal experiences with lyrics and beats that complements each other perfectly. FOCUSED features bangin’ production from upcoming producers Dru, D-Cyde, Abyss, Dap Daniel, and Muse10. Other special quests include other 3sixty5 Records artists Dap Daniel, Abyss, and all scratches by DJ Daeta (Jimi Handtrix Crew). Mikey Mo The MC began working on the album during the West Bound Tour in 2005 with Abyss and Dap Daniel and The Gold Chain Music tour in 2006 with Planet Asia, Casual, Rasco, and Flii Stylz.
The album bridges the gap between the traditional East Coast Hip-Hop and the contemporary wave of the Bay Area Hip-Hop Sound. Influenced by many different artists, Mikey Mo The MC sets himself apart by being himself and not conforming to the water-down hip-hop we hear today.
Currently the video for the lead single “Mikey Mo’s Theme” is generating a strong buzz on YouTube, OnSmash and HipHipGameTV and the new single “Never Lose Focus” is spinning on several college radio stations and Internet radio stations such as EarthBound Radio (via iTunes) and JellyRadio.com (via iTunes).
