Question for Mods and Staff of SOHH

I was banned for calling someone a disrespectful name, That person is known around the boards for egging posters on, and then reporting them to have them banned, which what was done in my case....Now since I was banned this person now has turned around and called me something just as disrespectful....My question-Is one deragotory term any better or any worse than the other?

while he did indeed call you a werdy derd (i'm trying to get on your level here:rolleyes:), it isn't a RACIAL SLUR, and use of racial slurs (like the one you used) IS a bannable offense.. particularly when a poster uses it directly to another poster the way that you did.

Wouldnt you agree calling someone black a "nikka" is a racial slur also?

Again where do you draw the line between whats acceptable and what isnt?

If you gonna ban someone for a "slur" you should not try and pigeon hole it into a "racial slur" and on top of that you guys(this site) condones these white boys, asians, latinos or whatever calling black people "nikka"

Its no consistency here.

I hope you can look past your standard simpleton train of thought that you are using on here , and see that this is a double standard like no other.

Or maybe you dont have any cultural pride, and let those 8 years on here brainwash you..

you may raise some valid points with regard to how we can fairly distinguish what constitutes a racial slur, what doesn't, who can say it, etc.. HOWEVER --

you were initially asking about why someone could get away with "f@ggot", but you couldn't get away with "chink". that's what my answer was in response to.

and even this should not be acceptable....How can one say one is any better or worse than the other.....

You think a "real" homosexual would not take super offense to being called a "fa99ot" in the same context as a "asian" being called a "chink"?

and while "chink" is disrespectful, a racial slur and a "disrespectful name" are not the same thing; the latter is not necessarily the former, while the former is almost always the latter (and IS always the latter as far as the mods on SOHH are concerned). with all due respect, the bolded part is just bullchit, and a lack of a knowledgeable answer on your part....Im gonna assume that you are white, and standing by "your morals" You and me know that is wrong...I can see that thru your posts, and you avoiding certain things....But on the real you people need to stop the bullshyt....I only said "disrespectful name" as to not get banned by a peon again...I really would think you would be smart enough to figure these things out on your own, but then again sometimes telling someone simply "yes you are right and have a point" is just too hard to do for some, especially those not wanting to admit certain truths....You folks really need to revamp your guidelines, b/c its hogwash and "RACIST" in its own right, and then you guys have the nerve to ban me for being "racist" as you say....I hope I wrote in easy enough text for you to decipher it...Even though you already know whats up....Thanks for the "targeted" and "selective" feed back, Little do you know I got all my questions answered simply thru you dodging them, and not having the heart to respond....
