I fukked my knee up real good about 3 weeks ago so I cant do any exercise that requires me to stand up, or use my knees at all.

So I've been missin my best lifts, squats and deads, for about a month now, and because of it all my numbers have been down. Not much, just a rep or two here, or 5-10% there, but still. It may also be because I cant drive the weight thru my legs in lifts such as a bench press.

My workouts for the last week have been real watered down. Its like I'm used to smokin an 8th of purp...now I'm forced to smoke virginia slims. Or like I'm used to gettin rode by thoroughbreds, but now i gotta settle for sloppy blow jobs from high school girls. For the non smokers, non fukkers, we dont have anything in common so I dont have an analogy for you. But I feel like all I'm doing is getting the blood flowing and trying to maintain muscle instead of building it.

I'm puttin this out there cause I know a lot of people ignore these lifts, and its a terrible mistake. Work these into your plan and you'll probably see all your numbers go up.

Trap bar or straight bar. If trap bar, half my squad was doing that back in HS when we were sophomores. Not as uncommon as you think. ;)

lifting all that weight just seem unimaginable to me because i'm into martial arts, and it's mostly nonweighted exercises in there. I lift at home, but mostly with dumb bells to maintain flexibility.

The only lifts I do are compound lifts (Dead, Squats, Cleans, Bench Press, Shoulder Press) other then that I supplement with Pullups and body weight things.

I hope you get healthy soon and don't become one of those machine using cats.

I never ever did deadlifts up till about a year ago and noticed a huge difference fairly quickly. I was fairly lazy with legs too, and now that ive been doing both again ive gained a ton in the past three months. I still hate leg days though, i almost puke every single time.

You better! Thats what leg day's all about!

Just to update my condition:

I still have extremely poor flexibility in my knee. I tried to jump the other day and shiit just didnt work out. But I started deadlifting again, and my numbers are OK. I'm going to try some light squats tomorrow.
