Some of the online bloggers which had heard the DustMight’s music say their track “Backhand” is…”nice stuff” & their track “Be That Way” is…”[a little] bit like a mixture between Naughty by Nature and Outkast - wonderful song.” They also said ... “cool tracks, especially “Long Road” with [the] sax.”
The DustMight’s new album has 12 tracks containing a refreshing mix of classic hip-hop, soul and R&B, which The DustMights have dubbed as ‘Neo-Classic Hip-Hop.’ Neo-Classic Hip-Hop blends classic old school hip-hop concepts, soul, funk and R & B with a fresher, more cutting edge sound.
One thing is for sure about their new album, Los Angeles super producer, Kool AceHa previously from the group MaddWest, did his thing and Sub-One from Butterfly Toungz got down on the rhymes. There are a LOT of cool moments on the album, which echo the sound of early NWA & at other times, EPMD, Outkast or Naughty By Nature. In one of their songs entitled “The Last Days,” The DustMights kick a little something for all the comic geeks out there (me included). I said it before & I’ll say it again…
“When The Dust Settles…” is a must have & it’s not to be missed!
So don’t sleep!
