View Full Version : *Adds 50 cent to the list of niccas who ruined hip hop*
Not just in the way yall think tho. lol This is somewhat a spin from that Rollin 25 Deep thread. And I should say NY hip hop. If it wasn't for this nicca's success and labels trying to recreate it NY hip hop wouldn't be in the state it is. All those mixtape niccas were groomed to be him or were trying to be him and that's why their albums got stuck. I suppose none of the labels felt they had that hit so they got shelved or they got fucced after trying to get that 50 cent type deal. Well maybe it's the labels and a&r's faults more than his, but if they wouldn't have tried to copy him with every mixtape rapper the NY scene would be different right now.

yeah 50 changed the game hands down. the thing is he changed it for the worse
ehhh i think it was worse when mix tape rappers where all try'n to sound like jay...
a mixtape use to be a way to showcase original talent and help push a name out for themselves...its been made now for the past few years to push that one generic single that might be a one hit wonder in the street and hopefully in the club field level...
honestly the last good mix tape i herd that had some good music you can lean on your wip too was the camrons last dipset effort at least he had atrist with various styles and topics in thier rymes plus the beats where tight

Trust me 50s getting what's coming to him. He can only blame, kanye, and his record label and whoever else for so long before he realizes he hit rock bottom. He's living on the business moves and not the record sales. Once that runs out he'll really feel like a fool

Co-Sign.
This clown has made a career out of messing people off rappers and people's lives and I'll be glad once he finally gets his.
Karma is hurting him big time.
50 didn't mess the game up by profiting off the mixtape game. He was only trying to better his situation, and over saturate the market with quality material and establishing a buzz, which he obviously came out triumphant in. The real problem is that everyone tried to follow suit with the swagger and mixtape presence, but failed. 50 was a trendsetter in that regard. Not to mention that they were basically the first group to bring the "gangsta" lifestyle to DVD players nationwide, lol. "Never seen so many *****s flashing guns on DVD's until G-Unit and 'em did it first" - Jae Millz (not a direct quote, he said something like that though).

But 5-0 also messed up hip-hop and brought a lot of damage to the music business.
For me, he will go down as one of the worst rappers of my lifetime.

I stopped listening to your viewpoint on G-Unit a while ago. Your opinion on them is obsolete in my eyes.

Too bad g-unit is obsolete as well and so are you.
Not everyone likes g-unit, true music fans know that g-unit is a disaster, illegal, immoral and a disgrace.

Because you are sheep
and **** soulja boy too, crap as usual
Makes me sick that sheep of today continues to support this, yet true hip-hop is still being pushed aside.
