nahhhhhh, it's close but thug love spanks that bytch, did you hear how bizzy went off on that 1st verse ??? it's been over a decade and I STILL cant run thru whole verse @ the same pace as dude, one of the few tracks where he completely bodied krayzie bone, and pac brought that pain 2 that verse

They're equally good IMO...One of the ONLY things in music I dont have a clear favorite. If I had to hear just one of em for the rest of my life though....It'd prolly be Thug Luv cause Im more of a fan of that raw rugged sh'it....I dunno tho man, Notorious Thugs is just  its damn self....

I like the Grimy sound of Thug Love but the tracks are about equal. Bizzy DESTROYED both tracks, especially Thug Love. It proves how talented he really is. Krayzie can't fukk with him.

His style too ill and too fluid.

some people feel like trying to "copy" a n1gga when you do a track with him is not the greatest thing you can do

pac could rap double time...but why? biggie sounded great with the sped up rhymes, but i woulda loved to hear him bring his own flavor to the track instead of trying to fit in, you already playing catch up when you start out trying to emulate in that manner

bizzy merked both tracks, i love them both equally, but i've always felt like pac's verse was the sh1t, because it was done in his own fashion, he said fucck what they doin, i'ma do me, and he made the track bend to his will instead of the other way around

but i can't sit here and lie and say i don't get hype when i hear big's verse from NT's, and once i start rapping it, i can't stop, i gotta finish it lol

"armed and dangerous..." > Thug Love

Notorious Thugs is better acceptable in a party enviroment than Thug Love, thats why it prolly gets people more "Hype"

Its just more friendly...Thug Love got ZERO radio burn..You can still catch Notorious
Thugs getting spins till this day...Like I say, I love em both...But that shouldn't be the deciding factor....Thug Luv is just one of those songs too raw for the mainstream....The hardest fukin part of the song is the gunshots, which radio wasn't having no part of anyways...I remember me and my right hand man clowning our one ni.gga who had the edited version of Art Of War because the gunshots in thug luv was even edited out...Terrible

actually in execution and all around...i think:

THUG LOVE is superior to big's attempt at double time, and honestly it is not that great of an attempt, and takes big really outta his element and comfort zone.

pac is more polished outta the two collabo's and is more convincing.

plus the shotgun efx on the record with pac,...is like finally....oh sh!T this is hype.

the big version leaves a lot to be desired from me. especially considering, bone seems more at home on the pac version,..while also carrying big on NT as well.

pac was eqaul with bone, on that record.

but anyway,..the only reason these two songs get comparison is because of the two deaths...it is an interesting conversation, but honestly......

these two songs other than that, really exist in two total different planes other than the connection of just pacnbigg.

art barr

bangs thug love, cringes when he hears the offkey, and outta pocket big,...who at that time showed he was still developing his budding delivery from:

one mo chance, jm record, lil kim scratch vocals...so that makes the song interesting for me from an emcee side. to hear bigg struggle with this style amoungst his other developing skills and delivery at the time.

pac on the other hand was just completely polished and just kills it in routine fashion.

but, in all reality you got to see who was the more experienced veteran artist in pac, and the sophomore attempts at bigg, to remain relevent as a new big artist. but honestly, i wish that silly conflict never existed because it downplays and intensifies to many other factors that really shouldn't even be there, to be quite honest.

^real talk @ art barr

if big and pac had never gotten into it, their music wouldn't even be compared, they were on two different levels and lanes in music, the comparisons only come because of the beef

and you ain't gonna hear "thug luv" at no party, or no club, because it wasn't made for that...that sh1t was far too raw (bones initial lane, not this jiggy, sh1t that they had to play up to, to be on a track with big) for radio play or club settings, only time you gonna hear this track is when n1ggas is doing drive by's or ready to do some dirt, which is bones initial draw in the first place, which is why that collabo was more more fluid

both bone, and biggie, had to kinda come out of their natural element, for that track, that was not the case with thug luv

Are you kiddin? everybody loves that Biggie verse, its ****in insane. Bone do there thing as always but its the BIG verse that you rewind that **** for, you make it like he was stuttering and mumbling his way threw that ****, when in reality its ****in classic.

And by the way...no offence...but the way you put your name at the end of every one of your posts makes you look like a pretentious prick, especially when its already your screenname anyway.

Yeah it did but you and your friends are still corny. Especially if they're some lame, Queensbridge-worshiping crakkas from Long Island like you.

In any event, the song is greater than just Biggie & Pac - there were other people on the record in case you didn't notice.

At the time it dropped, Notorious Thugs >>Thug Luv

Over time, Thug Luv>>Notorious Thugs

I love the gun shots and how Pac came in with his own flow. "I'll probably be punished for hard livin blind to the facts thugs is convicts in gods prison"

if i compare,...its a dream by big mike to biggie's double time. it shows how more composed and poised on reel, big mike was in comparison to bigg's performance.

also,...i came up on so called double time sh!T as early as the plus one, from the the funkfour plus one.....plus i was also a teenage youth watching twista in cyphas. since i was as early as fourteen every week at chirock meetings. to also being someone who knew and hung with the synpaz and their associates as well.

i think i would know when i heard a really good in the pocket on key double time verse. at times, it would be dishonest not to cite bigg's inadequacies, with his attempt at that style. i like the record, but to act as though it was flawless is wrong.

as a matter of fact, ll and busta perform double time flawlessly in comparison to bigg's attempts as well.

so even regionally where bigg was from there are examples of people with better execution of the style.

Notorious Thugs was more radio friendly..but its replay value alone is why its better. Once u hear that piano u anticipate B.I.G.'s verse as if its still new, then u can't help but recite his flow. Biggie has the best memorable flow.

2pac was his vintage self on Thug Luv tho'. He bullied that beat like fukk ya flow and fukk Jason Voorhees.
