a few small changes have helped me recently shed 10 lbs in a little less then 2 months

i drink nothing but water for the most part...the occasional G2 or low-calorie vitamin water/gatorade type drink (no soda unless its in a mixed drink but i do drink when i go out clubbing which isnt good)

egg whites/egg beaters instead of real eggs
whole grain bread instead of white bread
a box of protein bars just to snack on (one at a time obviously lol)
look up some smoothie recipes online... use it as meal replacement..i made a crazy mango strawberry one... sh*t was off the chain
make sandwiches using whole grain bread and fresh lean deli meat for lunch...kind of sucks eating that when all your coworkers are eating some pizza or whatever LOL but in the long run it works

if u do eat "bad"..make a mental note to eat a little over half... and drink water before ..force yourself to chug down like two bottles of water or two glasses of water at a restaurant.. then ask for a to-go box quickly and cut off a portion and put it in there...you are saving money and cutting down your portions..

few little tricks..nothing major..im no health guru...

breakfast..i like to eat light, and easy

a small bowl of cooked oatmeal..the real stuff, large flake..cooks in a pot in 5 minutes..

or

some fresh vegetables celery, carrot, slice of tomato on whole wheat bread if your craving carbs

or

scrambled eggs
heat up olive oil med. heat, add some green onions/white onions/garlic/bell pepper/spinach..cook for 2 minutes and add scramble eggs...add some fresh green onions on top

or

if your not feeling hungry..a grapefruit or apple and a glass of water

Lunch
i dont really eat lunch..but when i do.....

salad with everything in it...spinach, tomatoes, onions, broccoli, anything and everything...try to avoid croutons, cheese and creamy dressing..i like balsamic vinegar and Olive oil..equal parts..simple, healthy and plenty of flavour

or

fruit salad..melons, berries, apple.....try to avoid bannanas and grapes..they have high sugar content and will spike your insulin..which should be avoided early on in the day..i like to reserve sweets till night time when i can afford crash

or

pasta/brown rice with chicken/steak and vegetables..i can hook you up with some recipes if you want....but you get plenty of protein, proper carbs and enzymes/minerals to re-energize and stimulate

or

sandwich...should be your last choice..bread is very heavy in when in your gut..not enough fiber, and too much sodium, flour and carbs....try to eat whole grains..add as many veggies as possible and try to avoid pork if your trying to lose weight..(high fat content)

Dinner

start with vegetables.ALWAYS. The enzymes you get from vegetables with help you digest the overcooked and nutritionally dead food we typically eat for dinner(meat, grains, dairy, sugar, salt)

Salad. Vegetable Soup. Vegetable Juice. or fresh veggie snacks

Steak. high in protein, pretty lean. Baked Potato goes good with steak. Dont be afraid of potatoes. they are mineral rich. you may not be rail thin, but you will be healthy.

Roasted Chicken. Slow cooked so it doesn't hydrogenate the fat..stay away from fried ANYTHING.. you can boil/steam veggies(green beans, broccoli, belle peppers etc etc) and have some roasted or boiled smashed potatos to go with this..classic meal

Soups.SOUPS SOUPS. Minestrone, Chicken Noodle, Chili. Very good. Easy on the digestive system and nutritious. Try to eat fresh as possible..avoid dried sh!t in packets or boxes..they are full of preservatives which are meant to increase shelf life.....now imagine eating this food which is meant to stay on the shelves for a LONG time....yup, it stays in your GUT for a LONG TIME

Eggs. Sometimes i will steam or cook some veggies and add them to some ground beef...or chorizo..and add eggs...DELICIOUS..add fresh tomatoes on top for the win

Rice and Beans..AVOID WHITE RICE. POISON!! I like to avoid anything WHITE. White Sugar, White Flour, White Shortening. WHITE PEOPLE!! lol

very easy, filling recipe. rinse 3 potatos. cube them pretty small. toss with olive oil..put on baking sheet and cook at 325 until however crispy you like...toss them around a couple times before finished...then sprinkle some salt and pepper....the healthiest brand of french fries you could possibly have

snacks throughout the day....i like to keep snacks strictly fresh food...apples..oranges..carrots..celery..melon...but if you cant or dont want........you can eat nuts..almonds, peanuts, walnuts..not salted or sugared...or at the very least lightly..nuts are high nutritional oils, calcium, iron and protein

protein bars...again avoid ones with sugar or high fructose corn syrup..

What you eat doesn't matter quite as much as some people say (as long as it's balanced). How much you eat does.

I would suggest you limit your meals to 500 calories and eat a lot of snacks.

In other words, eat what you want but don't eat a lot at once. Eat a lot of small meals and exercise a lot.
