which one is better and why?
tha military n sh*t has always done calisthenics, same with boxers n martial arists (for tha MOST part)
i heard this gives u way more strength and gets u ripped up, like u can work every part of yo body
chest - push ups
back - pull ups
squats with no weight - legs
i remember one time i did like 150 weightless squats, a n*gga start pissin out blood had to go to tha hospital n sh*t, legs were stiff for like 4 days str8, couldn't bend em at all :smh::smh:
i think maybe a combination of both weights and calisthenics would be best? but which one do u do first?
like for back day, i do pulls ups first, then i do rows with a barbell, then i finish doin curls with my forearms
but since i do pull ups first it tires my full energy out by tha time i do rows i'm not at maximum capicty yah digg??

I use a calesthenic workout before I lift weights. 3-4 times a week this is what I do.
Pull ups 10x10
Dips 10x 15
Push ups 10x10
This makes me stronger IMO and I dont feel tight or sore after I lift the weights. If I had to choose, I would choose calesthenics.

duzn't doin all that before u lift make your muscles tired out some? so u lift less weight and don't get tha maximum benefit of lifting?
that does sound a bit much. that's a decent workout alone.

This is a good workout. 100 pullups, 150 dips, 100 pushups. And you do this as a warm up?

Its a routine so I dont get tired anymore. I dont do a lot of reps when lifting. For example, when I bench I dont go over or under 275 anymore. I do 5x5. I used to lift a lot of heavy weight but I would neglect to do my calisthenics like I should. So I reversed the workout and it made me less bulky and more leaner. I used to weigh over 320lbs. and now Im down to 255lbs. But my routine that i do before lifting isnt that hard once you keep at it. I never slacked up and i made sure i got a spotter for my pull ups for when i get a lil tired. Weights are the easy part of my workout.

Google Ross Enamait. He has some really good Bodyweight exercise routines.

When working out with a 2 other dudes, trust me it's not as bad as you might think. It's more motivation and at least 2 minutes rest in between sets. When I'm by myself I dont get to finish the routine, I'll usually do 7x10 on dips and pull ups but the push ups stay the same.

Calisthenics if you're trynna tone up and condition...
Weight lifting if you're trynna pack on the mass...
But then again weight lifting can do what calisthenics does when treated the same way.
