it's well knwn Luda isn't from/born in Atlanta, when he first came out every article talked about how he was born in Chicago. Bow Wow never repped ATL as far as i know (don't really follow his music at all tho).

Well if you live in Atlanta like I do, you'll be hard-pressed to find somebody that was born and raised in the city of Atlanta. I'm from NC originally and I've lived here for five years. I've only met one person that was born and raised in the city of Atlanta and know very few people who actually live IN the city. Atlanta is wierd like that, everybody's from somewhere else in the country/world. So it doesn't surprise me that none of these people are from Atlanta. Bow Wow is from Columbus, OH; Usher's from Chattanooga, TN; Luda's from Chicago, IL; and supposedly TI is from Riverdale, GA (which is just south of Atlanta and is part of the metro area). Hell I think either Big Boi or Andre3000 is originally from Savannah and moved to ATL.

Bow Wow had a video for a song named Let's Get Down - I think that's the name, it's the one where he is getting a driving lesson from Jazzy Pha...his car had Georgia plates in the video but he never repped Atlanta.

To the thread starter who mentions people in Jersey being fans of the Knicks - I live in Jersey and happen to be closer geographically to Madison Square Garden than Izod Center. We turn on the radio, it's NY stations - buy the paper and it's the NY Times, NY Post, NY Daily News, turn on the TV and it's Good Day New York. When the Knicks play the Nets it's like a home game for both teams, I went to a Rangers/Devils game...same thing. Giants/Jets play in Jersey but they are NY teams. Every single rapper from NYC that has earned any kind of money automatically buy a crib in Jersey. Foxy and Kim can yell Brooklyn all they want but where are their houses? NJ - Jim Jones and Juelz rep Harlem...live in NJ? Jigga has a house in Fort Lee NJ, Remy lives in NJ (well she live in a NY jail now technically :smh:) Ja Rule, Mary J Blige etc. Let me ask you this how long does a person have to live in a place to rep it? or must they rep their birthplace always even if they no longer live there or have a connection to it? Should Snoop rep Mississippi?

Fugees, Queen Latifah, Naughty by Nature are all Jersey but got hometown love in NY, Budden is the first that really tried to be on some Jersey distinction and it hurt him.
