spamming?

so what does and does not constitute as spamming?
because i got banned for spamming and my thread of cam'ron lyrics wasnt spam. just would like to know what sohh's definition of "spamming" is.

there is no definitive list of what constitutes spamming on the boards. because of this, our mods and admins are permitted to use their discretion in matters of deleting/banning as pertains to spam.

since you asked though, here are some examples:

making threads to advertise your own services/website/blog, etc
making a "repeat" thread after the first one (of the same nature) has been deleted
making a pointless/silly thread about an artist subject when the forum already has threads about the same subject
creating a large number/too many threads within a certain time period
IPOD tracklisting threads (these will be deleted automatically, but banning could be in order if it is about a person who died, or is in extremely poor taste)

someone should make this a sticky like they have in JBO just to let cats know because another dude got banned for the same thing i did. yall are ruthless lol
