well hey.

I just got a kenwood dvd/nav put into my jeep cherokee. After that, my stereo sounds like sh!t, no middle.. no bass. no power. its like listening to radio, I can't stand it.

I had the factory infinity sound system which has an amp, using my kenwood deck I cannot use this amp.

I went and got an eclipse amp, and a 12' sub. Now my stereo is pretty loud, but the bass is too fukin loud it's drowning out my highs. I don't know sh!t about car audio - I can't turn down my sub from my touchscreen. What can I turn down on the actual amp??

Bass boost FREQ? Bass boost Level?

man you need a amp for your mids and highs. find out the specs of your regular speakers already in the car and holla at us

will that put alot of stress on my battery having two amps?

it will put alot of strees on your alternator depending on how many watts both amps draw. 2 solutions..... find someone in your area thats knows about upgrading the wires for your stock alternator and grounds in your car. or buy a higher output alternator. but usually you will nly see a problem if your putting out over 800 watts and at night, your headlights might dim.

you should have a subwoofer control on the HU that can lower the sub, or turn down the gain on the amp. if u got the dough get some component speakers for the front. put an amp on them and you should be aite

You can can turn down the gain on the sub amp to match the rest of the system. Co-sign on going with component-separates (usually a 1" tweet, 5 1/4 or 6 1/2 mid with a matched crossover). The nice ones let you bi-amp the components. As far as your power concerns, I would make sure you have sufficient and equal size power and ground cable running to amps, alternators, and the battery. As others has mentioned, an alternator upgrade is one option, a capacitor is another (5-10-15-20 farad).

with a t-400 rocford amp pushin those

then i got a 12" kicer l7 sub 4ohm

2008 Kicker ZX750.1 Amplifier AMP for tha sub

it should be arriving tommorow
do i need an extra power supply?

and i'm thinking installing tha speakers is pretty easy? its just a few screws and u plug them in? only hard part might be tha amps? how much is a reasonable price somebody should charge for installation? i'm thinkin bout fucin with best buy for installation i dunno.... i still need a box for tha sub, wut kind should i get

and i'm thinkin bout gettin this pioneer deck at best buy
