Since my job is only like 6 or 7 miles from the crib, once the weather gets nice, I can usually bike to work no problem. I usually do it about 4 times a week m-th. only takes about 25 minutes. which is 5 min more than if I drive, so the difference is negligable. Plus its a good way to get exercise if you don't have a lot of free time. Mind you, I usually get up and go to the park around 6am and run about 16 laps as well. I'm not trying to get big, just trying to maintain my size and be healthy. Anyone else bike in here?

well in the morning time, its usually pretty cool, so I dont really break a sweat. I'm not a girl, so my hair is a non issue. plus I take a shower right before I leave the crib, so I'm pretty cool.

also, I got a towel, soap, and wash cloth here so I can wash up when I get to work. I fold up my work clothes and put them in my backpack for the ride as well, so they ain't f*cked up either. we are supposed to be building a fitness center which would include a shower @ my job this summer, so if that happens, I'll start taking my morning showers @ work instead of at home tho.

only thing that sucks about riding, is that day s when I exercise, I tend to be a lot hungrier and eat more food throughout the day.

u on the north side right?

man its aight out south. the only thing that sucks is the abundance of glass everywhere on the ground. the first year I started riding tough (last spring) I got a lot of flat tires. so far this year, no problems tho. but I usually look for the broken glass.

also out south, I gotta watch out for people thats not paying attention, cuz they will run u over. about 1/3 of my route to work involves going down cottage grove in morning rush hour, so u gotta be careful. also got hit once (at very low speed) by some guy coming out the u of chicago parking garage that wasn't paying attention.
