"natural soda":laugh:, water is the only thing pure and that is distilled water to be exact. expired soda is not going to kill you, the original cola taste will be a bit tart , knock ya self out if you that damn thirsty.

there is natural soda available, sweetened with cane juice. i believe JONES soda has no corn syrup. those are right in the supermarket. also whole foods has a store brand soda that has no corn syrup. im sure theres more, google it

carbonation is fine, as seltzer water is beneficial
