Now before you go and defend your rap saviors, give me a chance to state my opinion and explain why I feel this way.
People blaming the South and all the hip hop dances. But the real problem is these backpack ass *****s trying to teach you **** in a rap song.
When I'm at the club, I'm trying to grind up on a *****. Watch her ass bounce all over my ****. The best way to do that is with songs like Walk It Out, Soulja Boy, T-Pain, songs that make a ***** feel good. *****es dont feel good when listening to *****s like Common or Mos Def or Talib Kweli. Lupe sometimes can make a ***** feel good, but I aint checking for no Lupe complex lyrics when I'm at the club.
I aint trying to hear no "6+2 divided by an eighth is a third of a fifth" when im at the club. I aint trying to take no notes when im listening to rap. I'm trying to get this ***** dancing up all on me to let me get a piece of that ass.
*****s taking notes when listening to Lupe, Common and Talib, analyzing and breaking **** down.... I bet you *****s write out all the lyrics and listen to the same song 50 times a day trying to figure out new meanings hidden in the song. **** that *****, I'm trying to get some *****.
I dont know no ***** who got some ***** at the club listening to Mos Def or Talib. For real, *****s is wack and they killing hip hop.

Hey dumb azz what most n1ggas spend about 4 to 5 hours a week in a club... Most peoples lives don't revolve around the club.. I listen to most of my music in my truck or at the house.. What kind of life do you live.. And feel good lyrics don't make you feel good but trash production and simple simon words do? Screw you.. People like you and the rest of the 15 year kids killed hip hop.
when im at the club i dont wanna hear a n!gga try to preach to me or kick knowledge or whatever, i feel you on that. but when i feel like just listenin to some quality music thats actually about somethin i dont wanna hear a n!gga try to get me to become a human lollipop, i'd really put on "hiphop saved my life" or sumn. hiphop is everything man, hiphop is dead because the records aint sellin and thats because of this generation's access to everything for free, its that simple. lupe and common and all them do what they do and it serves a purpose. lil wayne and 50 and them dudes do what they do and it serves a purpose to i guess. bow wow, nelly, etc... all of it is hiphop, its just different forms of hiphop.

They aren't the reason hip hop is dead, they are some of the main reasons why hip hop is still alive. Hip hop wasn't made in the club, it was made from the streets. People like Soulja Boy are the reason hip hop is dead.

Oh and btw, I get more money than you.

I don't see why the two can't co-exist. I have every type of hip hop in my collection. From an underground artist like Immortal Technique to an commercial group like OutKast it depends on what I feel like hearing that day. Most of the time I listen to guys like Nas, Black THought, Common, Talib, Pharaohe Monch, Lupe, etc.. over the more commercial stuff.
I definitely need a balance though.
I dont only listen to club songs. I listen to that gangsta music. And I dont have to take notes when I listen to gangsta music.

LOL another dumb ass assumption. Regardless niccas that you listed didn't even blow, like the fake gangstas and club niccas. So who's really to blame? I'm not trying to turn this into a serious thread tho.

your the living proof that hip-hop IS dead.
ANT THE DEVIL HAPPY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Whatever happened to diversity?
People on both extremes of the spectrum don't get it. Music should be fun and that's what club music gives you - the elitists don't see that. At the same time, "nerd" rap is something that the idiots don't understand because they don't bother even trying to listen to the lyrics, when they're not even complex in the first place.

N*gga, shut yo dumb ass up. The problem is that club music is leaving the club. When we wanted b*tches to shake their asses we put on Luke or 2 Live Crew or something. Club music aint intesect with "hood music" and "ridin' with yo homies music".
Who lives in the motherf*ckin' club anyway? Unless you go out every single night, and never listen to music at home or in your ride, then this post is totally useless
yeah, but my life doesn't revolve around da club life, sometimes a brotha wants to throw some Common on and chill da fucc out.
Exactly, if you listen to Hip-Hop mostly at the club, then you aint a Hip-Hop fan simple as that. I don't even care what they play in the club, if the hoes are tight. I don't value the club's opinion. This n*gga'll be up in the club dancing to Fergie and Madonna and sh*t. Dumb ass n8gga.
nerds forget that rap was a way for people to have fun
Oh yeah, tell that to Grandmaster Flash and The Furious Five who made "The Message" and "White Lines" and Run-DMC who made "Hard Times" and KRS-One who's spent his whole career teaching people through rap. Man, you from England, who gives a f*ck about what yo blimey ass think.

Um. . . . That's not a "nerdy" song. It's a song about being famous. Half the songs on the radio have similar content. There aint no algebra in that song and it has a nice "simple" chorus for dumb ass n*ggaz like you
I agree, hip hop is from the streets.

Are you out of your f*cking' mind?
Lupe's from Madison on the West side of Chi-Town. I live 25 minutes from there. I can tell you. . . . that's the hood. Common's a street n*gga who's actual life is way, way, way more hood than his music was. Ask Art Barr or any Chicago n*gga. Common wasn't no punk growin' up. His music is much more mellowed out than I've heard he was in his younger days.
And no, 50 Cent and them making records for dumbass White kids and dumb n*ggaz like you aint Hip-Hop. N*ggaz in the streets used to bump Ice Cube, 2pac, Dre, Snoop, and n*ggaz that were keepin' it real back in the day. 50's making songs about "Candy Shops" and "Amusement Parks" and "Magic Sticks" GTFOH Real n8ggaz don't give a f*ck about MTV.
I like their music but most of them are complete hypocrites especially Mos Def who goes against everything he used to preach.

Lupe doesn't act like a hood *****
Common started off rhyming on the corners (Hence his song The Corner)
And Talib Kweli has done more for hip hop than 50 and Lil Wayne Combined
And when I say streets that doesn't only include the hood

How the f*ck did Talib do more for hip hop than 50?
50 dropped the hood classic Get Rich or Die Tryin'. You cant tell me In Da Club wasn't the hottest single in 2003. 50 might be a gorilla lookin' like n*gga, but he's done far more in his career than Talib Kweli. 11 million records sold off GRODT. What has Talib done? 500k his whole career? (If even that much, I'm being nice with that estimate)
Lil Wayne is the hottest n*gga out now (no homo). You can't tell me Lollipop ain't poppin in the streets and on the radio right now. Everywhere I go, I hear that song. Wayne might be a homo, suspect ass n*gga, but he's what's hot in the streets right now.

gangsta rap and back packers have destroyed hiphop
one is too cool to dance in a club or make enjoyable music
the other is too smart and uncoordinated to dance properly so they wear backpacks so they don't have too

Apparently real hip hop is a little over your head because I don't have to take notes in order to understand what true hip hop artist are saying, and stop calling your club songs hip hop. Your gay ass club songs shouldn't be even classified as hip hop, we'll make a new genre for people like you and we'll call it club. Or if you want to, we'll take hip hop and the artist making real music can be called real hip hop and the music you've just listed we'll call fake hip hop:laugh::laugh: and i do like some club songs but you don't even listen to any of the good ones from the artist you've just listed

Yeah I did like that album when it came out but after his whole 19 track album with nearly every song having half the song ****ting on ja rule who everyone hates, he is a joke, not to mention that album i'm sure was mostly produced by dre and em, which isn't that hard to sell a multi-platinum album when dre and em produce most of it. Not to mention if you don't think Quality is a historic album then your obviously a joke to hip hop and Kweli is going to retire a legend. Hip Hop isn't all about money, the **** has to sound good in order to sell. Which by the way, wasn't 50 supposed to retire??? after his ass got stomped by Kanye with the record sales who is a real hip hop artist. As for lil wayne, he has had some hot verses that i've heard, but if you are trying to talk hip hop with me and are bringing up lollipop, i'm just gonna do this instead:laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh:because it's not even worth my time
