And I've had debates on what qualifies an artist as greatest of all time, is it just classic albums and songs, or is it also a combination of what other ventures the artist has been able to achieve because of his success as a music artist. To me, and this is my personal opinion, Jay-Z will probably go down as the GOAT not only because of his music, but because of his other ventures, clubs, clothing line, marriage to quite possibly the hottest chick in the game Beyonce, etc. etc, he's the total package that other artists are trying to transform themselves into. The problem is 99% of the rappers will never reach his status, and that alone could qualify him as GOAT.

And Nas means something to music because his album "Illmatic" was groundbreaking, it's one of the greatest albums of all time. Lyrically there aren't too many albums that can compete with Illmatic, and that's why he'll go down in history as one of the greatest, even though he's not really relevant right now.
