I would kind of like to believe
You never heard me, never cared
But I don’t feel prepared
To give up everything
We have shared
I thought the more important I made you to me
That role would fall into place
My words would melt that cold, hard look on your face
Naïvely
I believe we
Are still meant to be
Or you could still love me

F*ck it

This road’s been too rough
Except
I can’t accept
I put in all I had and it wasn’t enough

I’m still waiting for you
To love me and not wonder why
Waiting for you to hurt, feel,
Break down and cry
Waiting for your…admiration
Waiting for some sign of appreciation
Waiting for you to run out of uses
For all your excuses
And make it to the top
Each night I wait for you to touch me like
You don’t ever want to stop
Wait for you to believe me
Whether it’s in words, in kiss, in letter
Waiting for you to tell me
That I somehow make things better
I wait for you to come home
When you’ve stayed astray
Waiting still…
For your anger to fade away
I will wait
Until there’s no more pain
I will wait
Until I slowly go insane
I will wait
Until you love my bacon sandwiches again

Your better off to look away
Your better off knowing what you got
Your better off realizing what you want
Your better to know whats in your control
Your better off not knowing what I know
Your better off staying out of the cold
Your better off never playing on the road
There ain't nothing better to do here then sit in wait
Everyone here that I know will eventually do the same

Your better off never telling him your name
Your better off never going against the grain
Your better off, you never knew, but your better off

I count my scars
I mend my fractures
So old I still forget the answers to your questions
I sit here playing my harmonica knowing
wind and stone will keep on blowing
my debt will keep growing
but its not what I feel I owe

live long
live in our pain
live long
livid state
Live long
long live our pain

STP - very soulful piece here, read like you really put your heart & soul into this one Sister Girl.
Goodin' liked it alot to bad we (men) don't know what we've got 'til it's (she) gone. like than cheap material that tries to pass for suade, felt.
