Everytime I click on someones name and try to highlight view all threads by "such and such" it tells me I cant, or I'm not privilaged. Can you explain why???

that could happen if you weren't logged in at the time you tried to look at something, but in your case it is probably because you don't have access to the search function on SOHH. you have to be a member for a year to be able to search.
