game having heat DOESNT EVEN MAKE SENSE....
quik was the sh1t back in the day... after rythumalism.. he fell the fukk off.. homie was afraid to be a gangbanger..
he then wanted to work with a bunch of artists from diffrent coasts and now he is lost imo.....
but quik safe and sound is a classic album no doubt... quik production on suga free first album ... classic...
I don't care for anything from the westcoast except for Game and Murs releases.

RZA and Muggs would disagree
as far as the thread,i tried to check for him mad times but his beats aint really poppin like that for me. alot of it sounds cheesy, especially his old sh1t which didnt age at all. he never produced for a ton of people i check for, and i hated the people he did regularly laced (Suga Free who listens to this guy?)
he had his chance to be 'nationwide' when Jay gave him a shot, and he blew it. did the wackest beat on the album

he hated suga free for a long time.
dude stole one of his beats and sold it for like 500 dollars.
wasnt saying he was the only one scoring movies. but him doing the score for training day is bigger than almost anything else scored as far as hip hop related people go.

i thought Dre did the score for Training Day that's why Still DRE comes on when they hop in the "office" at the start. plus RZA doing Kill Bill is as big if not bigger than Training Day.
i guess i was wrong too, i don't see any mention of David Blake or DJ Quik or Dr. Dre or Andre Young in any of the credits pertaining to the score.

nah that was quik that did the score for that. RZA scoring Kill Bill is about equal, but since most tarintino movies are usually cult classics that just adds to the magnitude of him scoring it.
quik scored the movie. i know some other dude gets credit for it tho.
