When I work out, sometimes my heart starts beating really fast. I always stop at that moment, but I was wondering if anyone just works through it.

When I first got in the gym my heart rate was crazy high when I'd run on the treadmills that had the meters and it got me scared. Now though after a few months it's a lot healthier(mid 160's at the top)

I didn't do it I just worked through it, but I figure there's a reason all the equipment says you should consult a physician before starting an exercise program lol

Don't pay it no mind if it's only for a short duration but anything over 3 minutes consult a physician.

Have you been supplementing with any stimulants?(Fat burners, caffiene drinks)

No, only multivitamins.

What has your diet consisted of and have you been outside of the gym?

If you haven't been using any stims and have been having an increased heart rate while not to far into exercise and sustain it after exercise you really need to go to the doctor you may have a murmur or some other complications. Yes young people have heart problems.

what would you guys consider high? and when do you think it is an issue? doesnt it depends on the individual as well?

i know those heart rate things on machines isnt the most accurate, but if im bustin my ass, ive seen mine go alil over 180...

If you are bustin your azz it should be elevated but if you are doing a treadmill walk at say 4mph your heart shouldn't reach near 80% max heart rate for your age unless you are out of shape.

nah i know that, but the OP didnt say when it starts to beat fast... if your peeling an orange and outta nowhere your heart jumps to 185bpm, you have problems... if your in a full sprint, maybe not so much.

Lol if you are in a full sprint and your heart aint beating fast either you are dead or I need to be on what they are on.

If you're overweight, you're going to go through times where you feel like your body is going to shutdown and collapse. Consult with your doctor first as to what your limitations may be as far as your breathing and heart and bones/muscles, etc., as time progresses, you will feel great about yourself and you'll have all sorts of youth. Also, you need to be around people that are uplifting and not always looking at you in jealousy and envy. If the goal is to keep weight off, do what you can as far as with excercize.

That's awkward.

When i was taking Ripped Fuel, my resting heartrate was astronomical (120).

I had to cut that shiit out. But if you're only ingesting multi-v's, you ought to be fine, even at the gym.

Hum... there's one explanation i can come up with but doubt its validity; you have gym patron's anxiety. The sexy ladies will do that to you and when i initially started at the gym, the overwhelming quality (and quantity) of visually stunning, moist gym thangs got me feeling all aroused and shiit. I couldn't handle it. So i had a tendency to constantly zone and channel my attention strictly to the particular weight or cardio machine and focus on that.

It was tough at first, but you become desensitized to it eventually.

Dang.
