Don't own a mp3 player, and didn't want to deal with them. But the USB port is perfection.

Just the opposite for me, I am tired of cds, so I'm gettin the Alpine XA001 (http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Product/Item/Main.aspx?g=300&i=500IDAX001&tp=5684&avf=N) joint. Strictly for Ipods/mp3 players.

I don't deal with CDs either.
I rather the USB, I load everything on the USB Flash drive.

Sony had a headunit where the faceplate had a 1GB flash drive in it, usb plug on it. Just take the faceplate in and plug into the pc.

im like you guys. I hate dealing with cd's as well. but my car doesn't have an aux port on the factory radio. and I don't wanna change it due to it causing my steering wheel radio controls to not function anymore. I do have sirius tho, so I don't have to mess with cd's at least for the most part.

I have a Kenwood similar to that one in that link. I'm telling you, I dont think I'll ever go back to cd's/mp3cds or any such thing similar. I have a 4 gb flash drive in mine. Music for days. And the sound coming out the Pioneers are lovely. No complaints from me. The only thing I'll say is that in hindsight, I might have gotten one that uses the sd card instead of usb flash. The ONLY reason for that is because with the SD card it fully inserts. The flash drive hangs out, so if you get a goofy mofo in your ride getting all grabby, they might accidently break the usb slot. But thats my only con, if there had to be one.

Hooking iPods/mp3 players to the deck aint really living. I still don't own one of those pieces. Cadillacs are making cars with 40GB hardrives. So why cats still got their mp3s sitting on the seat next to them?

I'm gonna have the same problem, there is a adapter you can get to keep the steering wheel controls though.

I got one of these (http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Product/Item/Main.aspx?search=cd7100&i=099CD7100) and a 1 GB usb drive. I want to get a larger usb disk but I don't know how much memory it will recognize. I can't remember the last time a burned a cd or dvd for that matter.

Damn... I already ordered the kit to hookup my ipod to my accord.
Anybody try these aftermarket stereos with the new Hondas (post 2003)? That factory setup makes me think its impossible for anything to look good on them joints.

I just copped a Pioneer Premier headunit that comes Ipod ready. I keep the Ipod tucked in the glovebox and it plays seamlessly from my system...no more mp3 cd's for me.
the only problem is that I lost my steering wheel control and my sub woofer no longer works worth a shyt...something about the Bose system not functioning with an aftermarket headunit.
