I been saving up for a while now n im trying to get my first car. Im looking at the 01-03 TL, 02-05 Impalas, 99-01 GS300/400. I wanted to get the RSX but drivin manual in nyc is a b1tcH!! :thumbsdow. Anyways i need some advice on the whole process like financing and insurance n all that stuff.. They wanted to charge me 5,000 a year under my name so I'm gonna get it under my momz name.

I couldn't imagine carrying insurance in the city.

If you're younger, definitely get your parents to co-sign on the loan (if they're willing).

But honestly, I feel that most young cats should start out driving a beater car, there's no sense in having a car payment when you're young (or even when you're older for that matter).

Explain that 1, I never heard of yearly payments and I been selling cars for 3+ years now ... also I would recomend the tl just cause its gonna have value when u get out of it more than the others tho i would suggest @least an '04, there are auto rsx's which are fun as hell rippin thru traffic in ny.

the 5gs was for the insurance my bad..
when you make payments, lets say a car is 10,000 and i put 3 down and im paying lets say... 250 a month. Im i allowed to make like a bigger payment than that like 1/2,000 lets say to finish off the payments faster??

Heck yeah matter of fact I recommend that you do, its a simple interest loan meaning that you are only charged for the amount of time that you have the loan open. So that line you will see on you paperwork stating "total interest paid" or sumthing to that effect will actually work out to be much less. Buy from a reputable spot, not 1 of them joints that be on hillside talking about "buy here pay here" you will end up phuckin yoself on the interest. Only finance thru sum1 where you are paying a bank. Also make sure you get gap insurance, so incase yo joint get smashed you dont owe for interest you aint acruue and you cover your cars depreciation.
